The advent of the digital age is prompting executives to develop a new set of skills that can help them not only to live up to the challenges of today’s business world but also to stay ahead of the competition and accelerate the transformation of the global business landscape.
The “Leading Innovation in a Digital World” EMBA programme of Télécom Ecole de Management, the business school of the Mines-Telecom Institute, is designed to help executives spot the opportunities in today’s business world while also broadening their knowledge in the fields of leadership and management.
The Executive MBA is aimed at ambitious executives and leaders of innovative projects who have several years of professional experience.
What you will learn
The EMBA “Leading Innovation in a Digital World” will develop your managerial, strategic and leadership skills, while also enabling you to recognise the opportunities arising in the digital economy.
During the course of the programme, you will be able to develop your own digital project, join one of the school’s business incubators in France and benefit from the full support of the faculty. Since innovation takes centre stage in the programme, you will meet with start-ups and entrepreneurs in France and abroad, work with them on their own strategy and share their experience.
About the programme
According to Olivier Epinette, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Pedagogy at Télécom Ecole de Management, the main focus of the EMBA is to help participants initiate, design and launch their own projects.
This is a part-time programme, which means that students can pursue the degree without having to leave their jobs. The classes, which are held in Paris, have the potential to take you to the heart of the major technological hubs in North America, Europe and Asia.
Over the course of 18 months, students will hone their leadership and managerial skills and also enjoy 3 international study tours in the US, Finland and India, each lasting one week.
The “Leading Innovation in a Digital World” EMBA is entirely taught in English and is double-accredited by AMBA and AACSB, which ought to ensure students that they will benefit from top-notch tuition offered as part of a unique programme based on digital innovation and new business models.
Pursuing an EMBA degree is usually an expensive proposition, but the EUR 40,000 tuition fee and the availability of several merit-based and need based scholarships make Télécom Ecole de Management’s programme one of the best options in terms of value for money globally.
Type of students
Télécom Ecole de Management is not looking for a specific type of candidates. Instead, it is on the lookout for people who want to change something in the company they work for, mostly in terms of digital transformation, but also the world in general.
The average age of the participants is 42, ranging from 30 to 50. Most of them have degrees in Business Administration, IT, Electronics, Computer Networks, MIS, Chemistry Management and Engineering. International students make up 37% of the degree-seeking graduates. Candidates are required to present evidence of at least five years’ work experience. The average professional experience of students admitted to the programme is 15 years.
Télécom Ecole de Management puts a premium on networking. Espinette points out:
Joining our programme gives you the opportunity to join one of the largest networks of alumni all over the world.
Networking is not just about getting someone’s phone number so you can come into business contact with him at a later stage. It’s about real collaboration. Two of the participants in the programme have started a business together. It comes to show that networking is not just about exchanging business cards. It’s actually implementing ideas, finding partners or clients, doing things.
After the EMBA
One of the main questions that occupy the minds of students is of course related to the post-degree prospects. Many EMBA graduates from Télécom Ecole de Management work in multinational companies, run firms themselves or have plans to start a business.
So if you are exited at the prospect of studying in Paris (but not only) with a group of bright professionals from all over the world, don’t hesitate to email the EMBA team at Télécom Ecole de Management at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
