GMAT Fee Changes in Europe

GMAT Fee Changes in Europe

Effective 30 April 2019, the fee for taking the GMAT exam in select European test-center locations has increased by approximately USD 35, from USD 250 to USD 285. With this change, candidates are now able to pay GMAT exam fees in select local currencies: Pound Sterling and Euros. Candidates testing in the United Kingdom will pay GBP 225 and candidates in locations where the official currency is Euros will pay EUR 250. For all other test-center locations on the list, fees will be charged in USD.

The locations impacted by these changes are:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and United Kingdom.

How has pricing changed for rescheduling and canceling GMAT appointments?

Based on feedback received from GMAT test takers, the pricing for rescheduling and canceling GMAT appointments has been restructured to provide more flexibility for test takers and reduce the financial burden on those who need to make last-minute changes to their appointment. In addition, the fees are reduced for those who reschedule 60 or more days before their appointment.

Effective 30 April 2019, appointment rescheduling and cancelation fees will be structured in three tiers based on the amount of time between your original scheduled appointment and an appointment change:

  • 1 to 14 days prior to appointment
  • 15 to 60 days prior to appointment
  • More than 60 days prior to appointment

Per regulatory requirements, if testing within the EU, a full refund will be provided if the appointment is canceled within 14 days of the registration date.

The no-show policy has not changed. No appointment changes can be made or modified within 24 hours of the exam appointment time and candidates who do not show up for the test will be responsible for the full exam fee.

How do I determine which GMAT fees I will pay?

GMAT fees will be determined by the test-center location of your scheduled GMAT exam. Fees that are impacted by local pricing include the GMAT registration, appointment rescheduling fees, appointment cancelation fees, and the Enhanced Score Report (ESR) if purchased during registration.

Fees for products and services purchased after you take the GMAT exam (Additional Score Reports, Enhanced Score Reports, online score cancelations and/or score reinstatements) will be unchanged and globally consistent in USD pricing.

How will my GMAT price be determined if I reschedule my exam at a different test center?

GMAT registration and rescheduling fees will be determined by the test-center location. If you are rescheduling to a different test center that falls within the same currency borders, there will be no impact to your GMAT registration fee; you will only be responsible for the rescheduling fee.

If you are rescheduling your exam at a test center with different fees than your original test center, your original appointment will be canceled and refunded in full, and you will then be charged for the new GMAT registration and rescheduling fees associated with your new test center.
