About Syracuse University MBA
The Martin J. Whitman School of Management was established as the College of Business Administration in 1919. In 1920, it was only the 16th collegiate business school in the nation to be accredited by the AACSB and in 1948, the school launched its MBA program. Today, the Whitman School of Management offers a full-time 2-year MBA degree program with specializations in accounting, business analytics, entrepreneurship and emerging enterprises, finance, marketing management, real estate, and supply chain management. The school was honored with a naming gift from Martin and Lois Whitman in 2003. The new 160,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Whitman School of Management building opened in 2005. In any given year, the Whitman School is home to nearly 2,000 graduate and undergraduate students. Graduate education delivered with best in class instruction and experience is at the core of Whitman’s values. At Whitman, we offer a full-time MBA program that incorporates both the theoretical background and practical experience needed to succeed in today’s ever-changing global economy. The experiential learning component encourages students to apply classroom learning to business problems, connect with decision makers, and deliver tangible results that add value to sponsoring organizations. Students build an experiential portfolio through internships, consulting, specialized courses, community engagement, and other practical experiences that make them more valuable in the marketplace. Whitman also offers a distance learning degree program in business administration called MBA@Syracuse.
