The acceptance rate of the most competitive MBAs is about 10% and the applicant pool for some programmes can be close to 10,000 per intake. US top B-schools boast the highest selectivity with Stanford, HBS, UC-Berkeley and MIT at the top, although in the US you can also find MBA programmes which accept even 100% of applicants.

So, just as MBA applicants compete for a seat in their dream MBA programmes, B-schools compete for the top executive talent. So they open their doors and send out their ambassadors to various parts of the world in order to reveal what these B-schools are best at.
