GMAC compiles a report of the GMAT test-takers every year. Their last report is from 2014. This is what they have shared about the GMAT Scores in India:
Overall, the percent ratio of male and female test-takers in India is 74.02% and 25.98%, respectively. For comparison, in the US the ratio is 59% males and 41% females.
The average GMAT score of students in India is 576, which is higher that both the US (532) and worldwide (550). Good job, guys!

According to a Forbes article, in 2014 Indian students in the US were 102,673. 11.7% of them are business students. Students from India contribute around 3.3 billion USD to the US economy.
